Sandsend Holiday Cottages offer superb accommodation in some of the best cottages in Sandsend. We offer five very special holiday houses, each unique with its own character and charm, and all equipped to the highest standard.

The quaint village of Sandsend is situated three miles north of Whitby, North Yorkshire. Nestling under Lythe Bank and Mulgrave Woods Sandsend not only boasts a wonderful sandy beach with fossil-rich rock pools, stripey windbreaks and a popular beach walk to Whitby, but also a pretty valley where you will find ducks in the beck, and goats tethered on the grass. The village has several teashops, an excellent restaurant, two pubs and a good shop. There is a regular bus service to Whitby and to Runswick Bay to the North.

Howdale, situated in the heart of the picturesque old valley, is a charming stone built cottage with three bedrooms, and two bathrooms, sleeping between two and six people.

Craigmore offers stunning views along the beach and sea to Whitby Abbey. With a degree of privacy, it is approached via a private road with its own parking. This spacious holiday home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms & shower room sleeps two to seven people.

Melrose House, a beautiful Edwardian villa, occupies a perfect seafront location with uninterrupted views across the bay to Whitby Abbey and Sandsend Ness. The accommodation is laid out on three floors rendering this properties ideal for families. Melrose sleeps between six and twelve people.

Sunnybank occupies a unique position at the end of a row of sea front houses, it has spectacular views of the sea from the Ness headland in the North to Whitby and the Abbey in the South. It has off street private parking. Sunnybank is newly available and undergoing extensive refurbishment - it will be ready for holidays from July 3rd 2009 Sunnybank has 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 8, a bath room and a bath/shower room, with a double sofa bed in the second sitting room for an extra 2 people.

The Porthole B&B sleeps two people in a 6 foot bed. There is an ensuite bath and shower room and a small kitchenette. Breakfast will be left in your room to have at your leisure either looking out to sea through the picture french window or on your own private terrace.

Well behaved dogs are welcome at Howdale, Craigmore and Melrose
